"I Will Not Be Held By My Memory When God Has Chosen My Destiny!"

Good morning beautiful people!

I overheard my mom listening to a sermon by Sarah Jakes Roberts and Sarah stated "I will not be held by my memory when God has chosen my destiny"

Those words are so empowering! Too many times we get caught up in a toxic thought pattern thinking better days are not ahead when better days are right here. I say this in the kindest way possible, take the time out to count your blessings, we all have something to be grateful for.

Do you ever think maybe it is our perspective on the circumstance that is holding us back from experiencing victory? Our past does not determine our future!

I stated yesterday in my blog we all have some damage, some more than others but constantly replaying those thoughts even after the circumstance ended is not the way to victory. I am not saying if something bad happens we can just get up and move on but focusing on the hurt more than the healing can be detrimental. If you think about it nothing good comes out of focusing on the hurt, pain and agony you dealt with in your life. Focus on the healing, set your mind on where you can be or what you can become from the circumstance. We all fall short, we all make mistakes, we all have been victimized in one way or the other but focus on what the situation can do to benefit your life, or benefit the lives of others. Think about how you can come out of this situation stronger and more empowering. That is victory.

I challenge you to not focus on the hurt but focus on the healing, focus on your improvement or how you already improved. Life is hectic and we are all figuring things out little by little. Give yourself some lee-way, think about how far you've come. Focus on how you improved and learned from your mistakes. I know this is all easier said than done, but it doesn't hurt to try.
