One of many things I love about God is that He is my friend. He knows my concerns before I pray about it, He knows my heart and He knows my struggles. Similar to how I vent to my friends and family members is the same way I communicate with God. He is available every hour, I don't have to make an appointment, I am free to pray to Him anytime. Unfortunately, there were times I took prayer for granted. I have those moments when I try to fight my own battles but it never works out in my favor. Typically when I attempt to solve an issue I scramble to make a positive outcome, so stressful. When I pray about it, God's peace goes before me and I have a clearer understanding of how to endure the process. Prayer is my shield, my requests may not always be answered on my time but the outcome surpasses all. For instance, earlier this year, I scrambled looking for an online course to complete my degree. The only problem was the schools I inquired about for the course did not offer any online classes until the summer. I needed the course completed before May. Months went by, a former professor reached out to me and advised me on a school that offers the course I need. Fast forward. I registered for the class and it turns out this school does not accept subsidized loans. That was tragic news for me because this was the only way I could pay for the course. A week later, the school disenrolls me from the course. The story gets better. The same day they disenroll me a close family member of mine offers to pay for my course. All praise to God, I am now able to complete my course and receive my degree. The reason I say this is because the battle is not ours, its the Lord's.
I want to challenge you to take time out for prayer, regardless of what your going through take it to the King. He knows your concerns, He wants to help you. He won't help you if He does not have your permission to do so.
