I think soul care is one of the most underrated forms of therapy. Many of us are are "too occupied" with work, social life, etc but miss out on the significance of soul care. Soul care is just as pivotal as sleep. When was the last time you took out time to be in complete silence? Many people fear being physically or mentally alone because of fear their mind might drift in a negative direction. I challenge you to think positive thoughts for as long as you can. There are many forms of soul care, a part of my soul care is taking time out to reflect.
Similar to how our bodies require physical exercise to remain healthy, the soul requires accommodating to stay in tact. The soul consists of our spiritual well-being which ties into the mind and emotions. These are significant parts of our health that are often taken for granted. Without our emotions we would not have the privilege to distinguish knowledge and intuition.
Many people question why they react to circumstances in a negative way, take that as a warning sign it is time to examine your soul. Ask yourself what is influencing your actions, is it something your watching? reading? eating? The same way our body reacts to food we eat is the same way the soul reacts to everything we allow to influence our mind and body. The same way we occasionally detox our bodies is the same way the soul needs cleansing. What comes out of a persons mouth is a reflection of what is at the surface of their heart, a persons actions is a reflection of what they internalize. Take time out for soul care, it is a vital part of life.
"Your eye is a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is good, your whole body is filled with light. But when your eye is bad, your whole body is filled with darkness. And if the light you think you have is actually darkness, how deep that darkness is.~ Matthew 6:22-23"
