The Moment Is Here

You have no idea how long I waited for this moment. The moment where I graduate from a University, a school that has shaped me spiritually, mentally and emotionally. It is finally hit me, I received my first degree. One degree down, two more to go. I have to give all the glory to the man above for making this possible. There were many weapons formed against me, but not a single one prospered. I had teachers in high school tell me I would not graduate, I had a high school counselor that told me the only college that would accept me is a community one. If I could see any of them today, I would tell them thank you, for motivating me to push past any negative connotation they tried to place on me. None of this would be possible without my King above. I have to give a special shout out to my parents, for making this moment possible, for paving the way, for leading by example and always believing in me and my dreams. I want to give a special thanks to my community at Eastern University, I had phenomenal professors, made spectacular lifelong friends that I will forever cherish. I have to give a special thanks to my aunt who faithfully handled all my student loan information. Lord knows my experience at Eastern would not be as delightful as it was without my community rooting for me. Here's too closing another chapter of my life, this time is more bitter sweet than most but this journey has now come to an end. Looking forward to the next one.
