Pause, take a deep breath. Are you running away from an issue? Are you keeping yourself busy to avoid negative thoughts that wont seem to go away? I struggled with this battle for years. Not only did I overwhelm myself with a busy schedule but to make matters worse I would do anything but pause because I wanted to avoid my negative thought process. I would get involved in any after school event, take on extra hours of work, etc to keep from being still. Don't get me wrong, I am not discouraging anyone from keeping a busy schedule, but if you are constantly active and are intentionally refusing to take time out for self-care it can be detrimental to your health.

like many others, I was petrified of facing the truth, the truth was.. I had a void, a void that I did not want to tackle. Want some advice? stop running. Seek guidance, talk to a trusted friend, one thing that really helped me overcome my void was to talk about everything that was bottled up on the inside. I learned its better to communicate about your issues rather than bottle them up on the inside. Its refreshing.
